The Spacer-Rite is a time saver, convenience
tool that will save you countless hours throughout the years
and help you to produce better quality products.
The spacing range for the tool is from 1-1/4"
to 6", with and accuracy of plus or minus 1/32" in
the ranges above 3".
To use the tool for spacings of more than
6", set the tool so that you will mark every other pointer.
This will cover the range from 6" to 12".
When you want to mark spacing on a bar longer
than the Spacer-Rite can cover when it is open, measure your
bar and mark the center of that dimension, then the Spacer-Rite
will reach from one end to the center and then from the center
to the other end.
Set the Spacer-Rite so that you will get
spacing you want (for instance, 4-1/2" Maximum), place
the tool on your bar and then adjust to have equal spaces by
closing the tool until the next pointer is at the end of the
bar; for example, a 45" gate would have 43" inside
the frame, when you set the Spacer-Rite for 4-1/2 centers, the
last pointer would be a little more than 2" outside the
frame, so you can close the Spacer-Rite and it will give you
ten equal spaces that will measure a little less than 4-1/2".
Take care of your Spacer-Rite as you would
take care of your good tools.
